HANOVER, N.H- The Dartmouth sailing team had another successful weekend on the water competing in four regattas over the weekend. Most notably, the Big Green won the Brian Doyle Open and qualified for a pair of National Championship races.

The Coed team advanced to the National Championship finals for the second consecutive year, while the women’s team also advanced to the National Championship by finishing fourth at the conference championship for the second year in a row.

The Coed team traveled south to take part in the ICSA National Championship Semi-Finals hosted by Hampton University. 35 teams competed in the events as the competitors were divided into two different fleets. The Big Green competed in the Eastern Division and finished fourth. Dartmouth finished with a total of 148 points, just three behind third place Roger Williams.

At the women’s New England Championship, hosted by Tufts, Dartmouth placed fourth in the 16-team field. The team totaled 152 points to tie with the host Jumbos, but the Big Green won the head-to-head tiebreaker.

In their home state, the host Big Green won the Brian Doyle Open. Dartmouth’s first team topped the 11-boat fleet and its second team finished third. The first team notched 19 points over the A and B division races to score the victory over Boston University.

In the fourth and final event of the weekend Dartmouth finished seventh in the 16-team field at the George Morris Trophy. The event was hosted and won by Boston University. Over the two divisions of races the Big Green amassed 206 points, just three behind sixth place Harvard.

Off the water, five different sailors were recognized, earning All- NEISA honors.

Sarah Peck was named second team crew and Chandler Salisbury was second team skipper. Madilyn Gamble made first team crew. Carissa Crawford earned first team crew accolades and New England Conference Crew of the Year. The fifth member of the Big Green to receives recognition was Deirdre Lambert. Lambert was tabbed first team skipper and New England Conference Skipper of the Year.
