HANOVER, N.H. —
This past weekend, the New England Inter-collegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) announced its yearly women's awards and four Dartmouth women's sailors earned placement on the 2012 All-NEISA Women's Teams. Freshman Deirdre Lambert
(Cumberland, Maine) and sophomore Carissa Crawford
(San Diego, Calif.) made the first team, while Kelsey Wheeler
(Osterville, Mass.) and Molly Wilson
(Rye, N.Y.) earned second-team honors. Lambert was also named the NEISA Rookie of the Year.
The quartet of sailors have consistently been the top performers for the Big Green and helped the team stay ranked in the top 10 all spring. Dartmouth is currently fifth in the nation.
Lambert and Crawford each were named NEISA Sailors of the Week twice this season. It is the second consecutive year Wheeler has made the second team. It was the first honor for Lambert, Crawford and Wilson.
The women's team recently placed fifth at the NEISA Women's Championship, which qualified the team for ICSA National Semifinals in Austin, Texas on May 30.
