CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — The Dartmouth sailing team opened the spring portion of its schedule at the Sharpe Trophy on Saturday at Cambridge, Mass. The Big Green placed second out of eight teams. The team went 11-6 overall, finishing behind Connecticut College who went 14-3.

Dartmouth made its move at the regatta in the secound round robin races. The Big Green went 6-1 on day two with victories over Boston College, Connecticut College, Harvard, MIT, Roger Williams and Tufts. The lone loss in the second round robin came to Brown.

In the final four, the Big Green went 1-2 with a win over Harvard and lesses to Tufts and Connecticut College. The Camels went 3-0 in the final four with Harvard and Tufts both going 1-2. Tufts took third with a 10-7 overall mark and the Crimson placed fourth at 9-8.

In the first round robin races on Saturday, Dartmouth won four races and lost three. The team defeated Boston College, Brown, MIT and Tufts. 

The Big Green will take a week off before competing at St. Mary's Intersectional and Truxtun Umstead Trophy in Maryland on March 17.
