HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth Sailing team continued to coast through its spring schedule this weekend, April 13-14, competing in five regattas throughout New England. Most notably, the Big Green reeled in a first-place finish at the Central Series Race, hosted by Boston College. Altogether, Dartmouth notched four top five finishes.

At the Central Series races, the Big Green scored their first win of 2013 as they finished atop the seven-boat fleet. Dartmouth won both the A division and B division races to post a score of 118, comfortably placing them 21 points above second place Tufts.

Dartmouth earned a fourth place finish in the 16-team field at the Oberg Trophy hosted by Northeastern. The Big Green placed second in the A division race to earn 58 points and fifth in the B division race to earn 69 points. The total of 125 points put Dartmouth just one point behind third place Yale.

At the Southern Series Five, hosted by the Bulldogs, the Big Green notched a fifth place in the 13-team fleet. Over the A and B divisions, Dartmouth amassed 103 points, leaving them five points behind fourth place Tufts.

The fourth top five finish of the weekend came at the NEISA Dinghy Championships/CG Alumni Bowl, hosted by Brown, where Dartmouth came in fifth out of 18 teams.

In their fifth and final race, the Big Green finished seventh out of 18 squads at the Emily Wick Trophy.

Dartmouth returns to the water next weekend, April 20-21, competing in four regattas.
