HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth sailing team has been ranked third (women) and tenth (coed), according to Sailing World's Fall 2012 College Preseason Rankings. The women's squad received one first place vote in the rankings, which are determined by an open coaches poll.

Last season, the Dartmouth women took 12th at the Sperry Topsider/ISCA National Championship, just 14 points shy of finishing in the top nine. Freshman Deirdre Lambert highlighted the event, earning All-American Honorable Mention Skipper honors, Dartmouth's first All-American sailor since 2007.

The Big Green coed team finished 14th at the 2012 ICSA/Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship, with senior Sam Williams earning the prestigious Robert H. Hobbs Sportsman of the Year Award.

Dartmouth kicks off its fall schedule the weekend of September 8th with a flurry of events, including the Harry Anderson Trophy hosted by Yale.
