Why Dartmouth?

I was looking for a school outside of a city that offered a great education, great community, and a chance for me to sail and during the college search Dartmouth was simply the first place I truly felt at home, none of the others could really match up once I visited.

How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?

I learned to sail when I was seven years old when my parents put me in the local sailing program and have loved it ever since. Spending time out on the water and competing against other like-minded people is always a lot of fun.

What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?

I'm most proud of starting the sailing team at my high school; I'm just happy to have been able to help others learn and enjoy the sport as much as I have.

Tell us something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

I am the oldest of five siblings.

What are your future sailing and career plans?

I look forward to competing throughout college but after that I see sailing as something I will always have for recreation, even if it just means going out for a sail now and then with friends and family.

What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?

Apart from sailing I played squash for four years in high school and hope to keep playing with friends while I'm here.
