Why Dartmouth?

I attended a small boarding school prior to Dartmouth, so I knew that I wanted to be at a place with a strong sense of community that honored long-standing traditions. Dartmouth met every expectation and I found it bursting with invigorating energy has encouraged me to explore new things.

How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?

I have been sailing for as long as I can remember. I first learned in a club program before joining a traveling team based out of Long Island known as LISOT. Ultimately, I found myself sailing for my high school, St. George's.

What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?

Before the age of fifteen I had the opportunity to compete in many international regattas and competitions. In high school, my team finished third at the Team Race National Championships in Seattle, Washington.

Tell us something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

In 8th grade, I performed several broadway tap dance numbers in a musical.

What are your future sailing and career plans?

At the moment, I have no definite sailing plans except for doing the very best in intercollegiate sailing that I possibly can. College sailing is very competitive and I'm excited to improve and learn from my coaches and teammates.I'm also undecided for career plans, though I have an interest in studying economics at Dartmouth.

What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?

Growing up, I played hockey and lacrosse before settling on running cross country in the off-season. In addition to sailing in the Fall and Spring, I plan on joining a winter intramural hockey team.
