HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth College Athletic Department is excited to lend its support to National Girls and Women in Sports Day with free events for local youth groups and teams.
The Big Green- in conjunction with thousands of sports educators, coaches, athletic directors, recreation directors, association members, sponsors, students, and parents across the country will host a series of events to celebrate the participation of girls and women in sports.
In celebration, Dartmouth will participate in the upcoming “Girls Sports Fest” clinic to be held Saturday, February 1 at the Lebanon CCBA from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM, onsite registration begins at 9:30 AM. Representatives from a variety of Dartmouth Varsity Athletic Teams will be on site at this event. Girls Sports Fest is free and open to girls ages 4-14. Dartmouth will celebrate NGWSD at two upcoming women’s athletic events: Women’s Hockey against Harvard on Friday, February 7 at 7 PM in Thompson Arena and Women’s Basketball against Penn on Saturday, February 22 at 7 PM in Leede Arena. Both games will feature raffles and free giveaways.
These games are ticketed events and in recognition of their participation in a sports program or youth group, all youth boys’ and girls’ teams and groups are invite to receive complimentary admission to either or both of these games.
In order to receive FREE ADMISSION, coaches or leaders must complete the online registration form by Friday, February 7th at noon. The form will ask for the group’s contact information and for a list of all youth participants who wish to attend. If you are registering multiple groups, please fill out a separate form for each group. Once the form is submitted, Google will confirm your submission. Please make sure that any pop-up blockers are disabled.
