Saturday Recap
Dartmouth rode through the rain Saturday to claim the Reserve Championship at Middlebury College. Eight schools competed, with the University of New Hampshire beating out the Big Green by one point in the final class of the day.

Sophie Lenihan and team captain Olivia Champ opened the show with beautiful rides in their Open Fences class, claiming first and second, respectively. They prevailed again in their Open Flat class, with Champ taking home first, and Lenihan taking second.

Meghan Poth earned first place in her Intermediate Fences class and later second place in her Novice Flat class, qualifying her alongside Champ and Lenihan for the High-Point Ride-Off. Dartmouth represented three out of the four riders in the Ride-Off, and Champ and Lenihan took first and second, respectively. Poth earned fourth.

Sunday Recap
In the second show of its doubleheader weekend, the Dartmouth equestrian team traveled to the University of Vermont Sunday.

Of the nine schools, the Catamounts took home first place, with Dartmouth trailing three points behind in the second-place spot. Even without a team blue ribbon, Dartmouth proved itself as the most consistent team of the season-opening weekend and currently leads the 10-team region for seasonal points.

Five freshmen made their showing debuts for the Green and White, including Shira Hornstein, who took the high-point riding title after winning blue ribbons in both Novice Fences and Novice Flat. Also competing for the Big Green for their first time, Nancy Curtis won her Novice Fences class, and Sophia Kocher took home first in Beginning Walk-Trot Canter. Freshmen Teaghan Callaway and Emily Slusher also did well, claiming second in Beginning Walk-Trot Canter and third in Intermediate Fences, respectively.

Despite the thunderstorms, Dartmouth showed well throughout the day. Sophomore Meghan Poth had another great show day, winning her Novice Flat class and earning fourth in Intermediate Fences. Team captains Olivia Champ and Claire Bick dominated Open Flat, earning first and second, respectively.

Other notable finishes include second-place ribbons for Sarah Cohen in Intermediate Flat, Holly Langley in Beginning Walk-Trot-Canter, and Alex Chen in Walk-Trot.

Dartmouth is back in action at home on Oct. 22 when they host their next show at Morton Farm.
