HANOVER, N.H – Senior Max Fliegner and sophomore Charlie Broom of the Dartmouth men’s tennis team are ranked No. 44 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I Preseason Doubles Rankings that were released on Tuesday.

The Big Green duo and a pair from Columbia (No. 26) were the only Ivy League players to appear in the rankings.

Fliegner and Broom started the 2016-17 season playing doubles with different partners, but following a 7-6 win over Boston College on Feb. 26, they played the remaining 14 matches together. They ended the year with a record of 12-2, making their way up from the No. 3 position to the top spot by the end of the season.

At the season-opening Silverado Invitational this past weekend, Fliegner and Broom took down Courtney Lock and Evaldo Neto, 6-4, of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Big Green have less than two weeks off from competition before they head to Princeton for the annual Ivy Plus Tournament.
