HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women’s swimming and diving will head to Rhode Island for the 2017 Ivy League Championship, which will take place from Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, Feb. 18 at Brown’s Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The championship – which was always swam in a three-day, six-session format – will, for the first time, take place over four days this year.
Last season, the Big Green placed eighth with 532.5 points, finishing just seven points behind Cornell in seventh. Harvard won the team title for the third time in five years.
AnnClaire MacArt took down a three-year old Dartmouth record in the 500 free twice in one day, dropping three-tenths of a second from prelims to finals to take seventh (4:49.03).
The Green also broke the school record in the 200 free relay by just over a tenth (1:32.34). Later that weekend, MacArt placed 11th in the 1650 free (16:41.67), while Hayley Winter touched in 14th (16:48.70). On the diving side of things, Allison Green placed 12th in the B final on 1-meter (252.45) and 23rd on 3-meter (209.25).
Prelims will begin every day at 11 a.m. and finals will commence at 6 p.m. Day one will open on Wednesday at 6 p.m. with finals of the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.
