CAMDEN, N.J. – Dartmouth women’s rowing competed at the 2018 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championship on Cooper River Sunday afternoon. The Big Green raced well, sending all five of their boats to the Grand Finals, moving up two places from last year to take sixth.

At the conclusion of the championship, Sabrina Bohrer was named to the All-Ivy First Team, while Zoe Dinneen was tabbed to the second team.

Heats
Dartmouth placed third in the first heat of the first varsity (6:57.75) to start the day. Coxed by Katie Erdos and stroked by Bohrer, the Big Green finished behind Radcliffe (6:54.28) and Princeton in first (6:46.02). 

In the second varsity, Dartmouth was third with a time of 7:18.20. The Green got to the 500 two seconds behind Harvard, but by the 1000, the Crimson had pulled 10 seconds ahead. Dartmouth slowly started to gain throughout the remainder of the race, going almost 10 seconds faster than Harvard in the last 500 to finish closely behind.

The Green’s varsity 4A was third (8:08.36), out-finishing Princeton’s crew by just over a second. Coxed by Grace Hannam and stroked by Samantha Hawley, Dartmouth completed the course after Cornell (7:58.86) and Yale (7:51.40). 

In the 4B, the Big Green had a strong second half to their race to finish in the third place (8:31.44). Yale was first in 8:11.94, Cornell took second (8:21.35) and Columbia placed fourth (8:37.33).

Finals
After a brief break for the MAAC and CAA to run their conference championship, Dartmouth’s third varsity placed third in the Grand Final (7:20.43), out-racing Princeton by almost 13 seconds (7:33.29). Yale placed first (7:09.77) and was followed by Brown (7:14.27).

The Big Green were sixth in the GF of the 4B (8:39.19). Coxed by Elizabeth Whiting and stroked by Katharine Phillips, they finished behind Penn in fifth (8:14.08).

Dartmouth’s 4A came in fourth place in the GF with a time of 7:58.20, leaving an eight-second gap between it and Penn in fifth. the Green’s second varsity – coxed by Jasmine Williams and stroked by Sophie Stone – was sixth (7:18.96), crossing the line behind Penn (7:07.34). 

To end the weekend, Dartmouth’s first varsity placed sixth in the GF (6:52.16), finishing less than two seconds behind Radcliffe in fifth place (6:50.57). Princeton was first in 6:37.17, coming in two seconds ahead of Yale to win the Ivy title.
