HANOVER, N.H. – Senior guard Kate Letkewicz was named to the All-Ivy Second Team announced by the Ivy League on Wednesday afternoon.

Letkewicz finished this season leading the Dartmouth women’s basketball team in scoring, averaging 14 points per game and had five games with 20 or more points scored, including a career-high 29 points against Yale on the road.

The Waterloo, Iowa native grabbed Ivy League Co-Player of the Week honors in February following her performance at Yale and Brown, where she set a new career high against the Bulldogs to lead the Big Green to victory in overtime, and almost matched it, dropping 28 points at Brown the following day.

Letkewicz inked her name in the program record books this season in six different categories, including three-point field goals made and attempted. For the 2017-18 season she finished second in the conference in three-point shooting percentage with 37.9 percent and third in the league in three’s per game averaging 2.7.

The guard led the Ancient Eight in minutes played nearly all season, at one point averaging 38 minutes, and she finished with an overall average of 36.9 minutes-per-game. In six games this season she was on the floor all 40 minutes and both overtime games she played the full 45 minutes.

She was second on the team in rebounding, averaging 6 per game and also second in free throw shooting percentage with 86.8 percent made. Her field goal shooting percentage was 40.5 percent on the season.

This season Letkewicz reached the milestone of 1,000 career points, joining 18 other women in Dartmouth women’s basketball history to tally that many points. She led the team in scoring in eight different games this season and was one of two players to start all 27 games.

This is the third All-Ivy honor for Letkewicz, who was an honorable mention in 2017 and 2016.
