HANOVER, N.H. – With Sunday night’s 2-1 victory in Game 3 against St. Lawrence, the Dartmouth men’s hockey team advanced to the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals this weekend.
The fifth-seeded Big Green will head to fourth-seeded Harvard to take on the Crimson in the first-ever postseason meeting between the two programs played in Cambridge. This will be the seventh all-time playoff match-up between the two Ivy League rivals with Harvard winning the first four games (all single-elimination) and the Green and White defeating the Crimson in three games in both the 2011 quarterfinals and the 2013 first round.
This year's best-of-three series is set for Friday, Saturday, and, if necessary, Sunday. The first two games will begin at 7 p.m., while a possible third game would drop the puck at 5 p.m.
All three games will be carried live on NESN as well as streamed through the ECAC Hockey’s website via Boxcast.
Big Green fans can purchase tickets through the Harvard Ticket Office by visiting their website.
The winner of the series will move on to Lake Placid and the 2018 Hockey Championship Semifinals next weekend.
A complete preview of this weekend’s series will be posted later this week.
