HANOVER, N.H. – Over the next few weeks, the Dartmouth men’s and women’s hockey teams will participate in a series of events designed to interact with fans as well as give back to the community in which they live and play.
The first of those three events will be the annual Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD) Toy Drive in conjunction with a pair of men’s games. Fans are encouraged to bring donations of new, unwrapped toys to the Big Green’s games on Saturday, Nov. 25 against Vermont as well as Saturday, Dec. 9 against Bentley. The team will bring those toys to CHaD in the days following the Bentley game in their annual visit.
There will also be a postgame autograph session following the Vermont game for those looking to meet members of this year’s men’s team. The women will hold their postgame meet-and-greet and autograph session with fans following the Dec. 2 game against Quinnipiac that is set to begin at 3 p.m.
The teams’ annual Skate with the Big Green sessions will both take place on Sunday, Dec. 10 and give fans young and old alike the ability to skate on the Thompson Arena ice with this year’s student-athletes.
The men will be on the ice from noon to 1 p.m. After a quick intermission, the women’s team will be skating from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.
