HANOVER, N.H. – After an impressive 2-1 victory over No. 5 Harvard to open the season on Friday, the Dartmouth women’s hockey team is making its 2015-16 debut in both latest releases of the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Polls.
The Big Green are ranked 10th in both after receiving 11 points. Dartmouth was last ranked almost exactly a year ago, when it opened the 2014-15 season with four straight wins and appeared at No. 10 on the USCHO.com poll.
Harvard is the only other Ivy League program to be featured on the list, slipping a few spots from fifth to eighth in the USCHO rankings and from fifth to seventh by USA Hockey following the loss in Hanover. ECAC Hockey foes Clarkson and Quinnipiac also appear in the middle of both polls at fourth and fifth, respectively.
Dartmouth will host those fourth-ranked Golden Knights on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. after a Friday night contest against St. Lawrence.
