Nicole Moore joined Amy Patton's staff in the summer of 2014 and completed her first season on the Big Green's sidelines at the conclusion of the 2015 season.
Dartmouth showed promise down the stretch in Moore's first season, winning the final two games of the season and claiming fifth in the Ivy League standings.
Moore joins the Big Green coaching staff as an assistant after spending the last four years building Stetson’s program from the ground up from 2011 to this past spring. Prior to her four years in Deland creating the Hatters’ Division I program, Moore worked as an assistant coach with Vermont (2011), Temple (2007-10) and Canisius (2004-06).
"Joining the Dartmouth Lacrosse staff was an easy decision and one that I am excited about,” Moore said. “This program strives for excellence in every aspect and I am honored to work alongside such an accomplished and respected head coach in Amy Patton and a determined, driven coach in Jess Drummond.
“Dartmouth Lacrosse attracts the brightest and most talented recruits in the nation and I cannot wait to help guide them through their time here at Dartmouth. I am grateful to both Amy and the administration for the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Dartmouth Athletics family," Moore continued.
In coming to Hanover, it will be a homecoming of sorts for Moore, who played for the University of New Hampshire from 1999-2002. As a member of the Wildcats, she was named to the 2002 IWLCA North Regional All-America Second Team as well as a first-team all-conference player, while earning all-tournament honors in her final two seasons.
Additionally, Moore has spent time in England working at the Casterton School as the head coach and director of lacrosse right after graduating from UNH, spending 2002-04 at the boarding school.
Moore earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from UNH in 2002 with master’s degrees in kinesiology from Temple in 2010 and physical education from Canisius in 2006.
"I feel incredibly privileged to have had Nicole in my life as a coach and as a mentor. Her enthusiasm for the game is truly unparalleled. It inspires you to want to be the best player you can be. She has great belief as a coach and will encourage you to never settle. There is no doubt that she is an experienced coach, bringing immense knowledge to the table, but most importantly, Nicole is an incredible mentor. She is undoubtedly one of the most supportive and caring people I know. Through my injury struggles as a senior, she helped me to keep my head up more than she knows. She consistently sent me positive thoughts and effectively communicated with me to determine how she could support me. I owe so much of my personal growth in the past year to Nicole. Her optimism and genuine happiness has an immediate contagious effect on everyone around her. She strives to build deep connections with every one of her players. She has certainly left a great impact on my life in such a relatively short period of time." - Christine Lushefski ’15
