How She Qualified:
Earned an automatic berth by finishing fourth in her quarterfinal heat on Saturday night at the NCAA East Regional at North Florida’s Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville. Giordano placed eighth overall in the field of 48, but locked up one of the 10 automatic berths to Oregon with a top-five finish in her section. In that race in Jacksonville, she ran a 16:05.04.
