The equestrian team won the Ivy Championship and men's tennis is hunting for post-season play with the skills of Catherine Conway and doubles partners Dovydas Sakinis and George Wall leading the way. Conway was the point rider in the championship while Sakinis and Wall paired up for crucial Ivy league match points.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.

Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Catherine Conway, Fr., Potomac, Md., IF/NF, Equestrian

Conway was an integral part of Dartmouth's Ivy Championship victory this past weekend at Cornell.  She served as the team “point rider” in Novice Flat and Novice Fences, winning the first and taking third in the latter. Those performances gave the team 11 points towards the team total of 37.  In addition to her success at the Ivy Show, Conway has been one of the top rookie riders this year, working hard to get better both on and off the horse.

Dovydas Sakinis So.,  Siauliai, Lithuania, Men's Tennis
George Wall, Fr., Hope Island, Queensland, Men's Tennis

Dartmouth men's tennis doubles pairings Dovydas Sakinis and George Wall picked up a win against Yale on Friday, but did not finish against Brown due to the team clinching the point. In singles play, Wall won both of his matches at number five and six over the weekend and Sakinis won against Yale, but had his match at number one unfinished, as the team won the event. Sakinis was in the lead at the time.
