BOSTON – Sunday afternoon saw the Dartmouth men’s track & field team send several members to compete in the final day of the 2014 IC4A Championship meet.

Hosted by Boston University in the school’s Track and Tennis Center, the IC4As are run in conjunction with the women’s ECAC Championship meet.

Senior Henry Sterling ran an 8:07.76 in the final of the 3000m race, a time good enough to claim 12th in a field of nearly 60 competitors. Peter Geithner also ran in the event, but did not record a time.

In the pole vault, senior Josh Cyphers claimed 10th as he cleared a height of 16-2.75/4.95m. First-year thrower Jonathan Beering was 27th in the shot put with a 48-4.75/14.75m.

Dartmouth will now turn its attention to next weekend’s NCAA National Championship in Albuquerque, N.M., where several members of the team will represent the Green and White.
