HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s track & field team earned the No. 14 position in the preseason nation poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Monday afternoon.

The first poll of the season comes on the heels of the Big Green taking the team title at the 2014 Dartmouth Relays for the fourth straight season.

Six individuals won events on Sunday at Leverone Field House to help lift the Green and White to the crown once again with 140.5 points.

Dartmouth features one of the best collection of distance runners in the country as demonstrated by its strong showing at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in November. However, it is not all about distance for the Big Green this winter as a contingent of sprinters, middle distance runners, throwers and jumpers have made this year’s squad one of the deepest in recent memory.

Harvard is the only other Ivy League program to crack the Top-25, earning a ranking of No. 24 in the first release of the season.

The Big Green are back in action this weekend in Hanover, hosting Yale and Columbia at Leverone on Saturday at noon.
