NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth men’s tennis team had a strong showing at the Northeast Regionals on Thursday, going a perfect 4-0 in singles play.

The Big Green saw a pair of student-athletes compete on day one as both Diego Pedraza and Erik Nordahl won a pair of matches.

Pedraza won in straight sets in both rounds of competition. The Bogota, Colombia, native topped David Neff of Brown to open the day and finished with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph over USMA’s Cason Best.

Nordahl started the day with straight set triumph over Fairfield’s Dennis Zlobinsky. In his second match of the day, the sophomore from Minnesota won a three-set thriller versus USMA’s Grant Riechmann.

Both players advanced to the main draw of the regionals and will compete tomorrow, Oct. 18.
