Saunders Nabs Weekly Award
Junior Tatiana Saunders was named the Ivy League Co-Player of the Week after she shut out both St. John’s and Maine last week. This past week, Saunders played in all 200 minutes for the Big Green, a scoreless tie with St. John’s and a 1-0 win over Maine. She has started all six games this season for the Green and posts a 1.47 goals against average.
Brush Your Shoulders Off
Senior Emma Brush scored the lone goal last week for Dartmouth, chipping in the game-winning goal on Sunday against Maine in the 63rd minute. Brush leads the squad this season with three goals and seven points.
Scouting the River Hawks
Playing its first season in the America East Conference, UMass Lowell has struggled early and is winless through its first eight matches. The River Hawks have lost by at least two goals in seven-of-eight games this season, with the closest match coming on the road at Siena, 2-1 (OT).
Brown is the New….
Heading into Sunday’s contest, Brown has won its last two games defeating Massachusetts, 2-1, and Sacred Heart, 2-0. Dartmouth and Brown share just one common non-conference opponent this season in St. John’s. The Big Green played to a scoreless tie with the Red Storm, but Brown fell, 4-0, on Sept. 8.
Ivy League Digital Network
Dartmouth Athletics, in partnership with NeuLion, announced the launch of the brand new Ivy League Digital Network, featuring enhanced live video streaming of all home games and extensive coverage of Big Green road contests against Ivy League foes.
Starting with the 2013-14 season, the completely redesigned Dartmouth channel — known as Big Green Insider — will include an easy-to-navigate interface with a league-wide network schedule and new interactive features that showcase the expanded content offerings available on computer, mobile and tablet devices, all without the use of an app.
Dartmouth will host Princeton next Saturday at 7 p.m. This will be the only game for the Big Green this upcoming week.
