NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth men’s tennis team concluded the Ivy Plus Championships on Sunday with a strong showing as both Sam Todd and George Wall won their singles Flights.

Both Wall and Todd scored three-set triumphs in the championship matches of their respective flights. Todd netted a come-from-behind win against Marshall Sharp from Penn, 5-6, 6-5, 6-4 in the Draw E final. During his four match run through the flight, Todd only dropped one set, winning three contests in straight sets.

In the Draw F final, Wall battled Penn’s Zach Lessen. After taking the first set, 6-3, the freshman dropped the second, 2-6. In the third set, Wall was trailing 4-1, before winning the last five games to win the set, 6-4. After winning his first two matches of the flight in straight sets, the Hope Island, Queensland, native gutted out back-to-back three-set wins.

After dropping his first singles match in Draw A, Chris Kipouras ended the weekend with three straight victories while Dovydas Sakinis won his final two matches to end his first tournament as a member of the Big Green 2-1. Diego Pedraza won a three–set thriller in the Draw B quarterfinal consolation.

Dartmouth returns to action Oct. 4-6, traveling to the Ocean State to take part in the Brown Invitational.
