NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth women’s golf team shot a team total of 311 on Sunday in the final round of the Yale Intercollegiate to finish in 10th place. The Big Green now have a pair of top-10 finishes in their two tournaments during the fall season.

The 17-team field played the 54-hole event at the par-71 The Course at Yale.

The host Bulldogs cruised to a 19-stroke victory over second place Xavier. Penn finished in third with Seton Hall and Boston University rounding out the top five.

The Big Green shot a tournament total of 930 (317-302-311) to finish just two shots back of ninth place Charleston Southern.

Freshman Tara Simmons had her best tournament as a member of the Big Green, shooting a 76 in the third round to enter the clubhouse in sole possession of 12th place.

Sarah Knapp ended the event with a 78 on Sunday to earn a share of 24th. Jane Lee carded a 77 in the third round to end the tournament one shot back of Knapp, tying for 29th.

Lily Morrison and Jessica Goldstein rounded out the field for the Big Green finishing tied for 66th and tied for 70th, respectively.

Freshman Jamie Susanin competed individually, firing a final round 86 to tie with Morrison for 66th.

Dartmouth returns to the links Oct. 13-14, traveling south to the Bay State taking part in the Harvard Invitational.
