STORRS, Conn. – The Dartmouth women’s soccer team fell for the third time this season away from Burnham Field, 2-0, to Connecticut on Sunday afternoon at Morrone Stadium.
The Huskies wasted little time attacking the Big Green defense, scoring in the second minute of action off a 40-yard shot by Julie Hubbard. Connecticut added its second marker of the game in the 35th minute. Stephanie Ribeiro fed Rachel Hill from the right side into an open net for her fourth of the season.
Dartmouth struggled offensively in the first half by not registering a shot, but then had ten in the second half. UConn finished the contest with an 18-10 edge in shots.
Emily Armstrong and Allison Saucier made two saves in the contest for the win and junior Tatiana Saunders made eight stops for the Big Green.
Dartmouth will travel to Queens, New York to face St. John’s on Friday at 5 pm. The game can be seen live on ESPN3.
