PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced the men’s lacrosse All-Ivy teams on Wednesday afternoon and a pair of Dartmouth seniors were honored as defender Pat Flynn and goalie Bernie Susskind received recognition. Flynn was named to the second team and Susskind garnered honorable mention status.

Flynn caps his tenure in Hanover earning second team accolades for the second straight season. The Mountain Lakes, N.J., native ended his career at Dartmouth by causing 12 turnovers and scooping 29 groundballs in 2013. In the second game of the year, the two-time captain picked up his first career assist in a 13-8 victory against Vermont. Late in the third quarter with the Big Green trailing by two goals, Flynn started the rally with a caused turnover as he found Chris Costabile to bring Dartmouth within a goal.

Flynn became the first Big Green defender to earn back-to-back All-Ivy honors since Casey Hingtgen made the second team in 2009 and 2010.

In his first year as a starter, Susskind stepped up to the challenge making 160 saves with a save percentage of .530 and a goals-against average of 10.23. The Highland Beach, Fla., native had big shoes to fill as he replaced three-time All-Ivy honoree Fergus Campbell this season. Susskind started all 14 games between the pipes for the Big Green registering double digit saves in 14 contests. The senior made a career high 18 saves in a 13-5 loss to No. 14 North Carolina on March 18. In the season finale, Susskind stopped 17 shots in an 8-7 triple overtime loss to Brown.

2013 marked the fourth straight season that Dartmouth had at least two players receive All-Ivy recognition.
