HANOVER, N.H. – In its penultimate home match of the 2013 season, the Dartmouth men’s tennis team was edged by Yale, 5-2, on Friday afternoon at the Topliff Tennis Courts.

The Big Green (9-12, 1-4 Ivy League) dropped their second straight conference match, while the Bulldogs (17-5, 3-2 Ivy League) won their final road match of the season.

The loss snapped a two match winning streak against Yale for Dartmouth.

In doubles action, the Bulldogs took two of the three matches to score the first point heading into singles play. The tandem of Xander Centenari and Brandon DeBot won their match for the Big Green, 8-3, at No.1.

In singles action, Yale took the top four matches to seal the triumph. DeBot continued his strong junior campaign scoring a point for Dartmouth with a victory at No. 5. Justin Chan netted the other victory for the Big Green at No. 6. Both DeBot and Chan won in straight sets.

The Big Green hit the road for their final road game on the Ivy League schedule on Sunday, April 21, traveling to the Ocean State to square off with Brown at 2 p.m.
