HANOVER, N.H. - For the second straight home game, the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team overcame a multi-goal deficit as it rallied to beat Robert Morris, 11-9, on Saturday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field.

With the win, the Big Green improved to 2-2 on the season, while the Colonials fell to 2-3.

Once again, it was a tale of two halves for the Green and White as they scored just two goals in the first half and exploded for nine in the second.

For the third consecutive home game, Dartmouth went into the half trailing. In the first half of games in Hanover this year the Big Green have been outscored 14-6, while holding a 26-16 edge in the final 30 minutes of play.

Senior quad-captain Chris Costabile led the offensive attack for the Big Green scoring at least two goals for the third straight contest. Junior's Brendan Rotanz and Mike Olentine each tallied a pair of markers, while sophomore Adam Hull dished out three assists for the third game in a row.

Trailing by four late in the third quarter, Dartmouth netted three unanswered goals to cut the Robert Morris lead to just one heading into the final 15 minutes of action.

15 seconds into the fourth, Costabile scored his seventh goal of the year to tie the game at eight. Seven minutes later, Jake Hayes scored to give the Colonials the 9-8 edge.

Over the final eight and a half minutes of play the Big Green stole the momentum back en route to their second straight non-conference home win.

Patrick Campbell and JP Garry each scored their first goals of the season for Dartmouth in the last five minutes and Rotanz added an insurance goal with 39 seconds left in regulation to seal the victory.

Senior goaltender Bernie Susskind made seven saves to pick up his second win of the season for the team from the Upper Valley.

Dartmouth returns to action on March 18, when it travels to Chapel Hill to square off against North Carolina. The game is slated for 3:00 p.m. as the Big Green look to avenge a 13-10 loss to the Tar Heels last season at Fetzer Field.
