HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Dartmouth women's hockey team jumped out to an early three-goal lead and held off a late surge by Colgate to score a 3-2 win in ECAC Hockey action on Friday night at Starr Rink.

The Big Green won their third straight conference game to improve to 15-7-4 overall and 10-6-3 in league play.

Senior forward Camille Dumais contined to climb up the career point list for the Green and White as she netted a goal for the second consecutive game.  Dumais opened the scoring early in the first period, while freshman Laura Stacey picked up her team-leading 14th assist of the season on the tally. With the helper, the first-year forward has now registered points in three of the last four contests for Dartmouth.

The team from the Upper Valley added to their lead 90 seconds into the second period as freshman Ailish Forfar scored her seventh goal of the season. Forfar, a two-time ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week honoree, has now found the back of the net in back-to-back games. Senior defenseman Sasha Nanji is putting an exclamation point on her final year with the team, picking up an assist on Forfar's marker. Nanji now has three assists in the last two games.

Later in the second, senior co-captain Jenna Hobeika netted the eventual game-winner on the power play for the Big Green. Hobeika's man-advantage tally was her seventh of the season and her first since Jan. 18 against Union.

The power-play marker was just the second for Dartmouth in a seven game stretch. During that time, the Big Green are two-for-35 with the man advantage.

The Raiders made a surge midway through the second, tallying two goals in a three minute window to cut the Dartmouth lead to 3-2.

Over the final period and a half the Big Green were able to hold the Raiders at bay to pick up the one-goal victory.

With the nail biting triumph, three of the last four contests between the two squads have been decided by a single tally.

The Big Green are now an impressive 14-0-1 when leading after two periods.

Junior goaltender Lindsay Holdcroft turned aside 29 shots en route to her 14th victory of the season.

Dartmouth wraps up its final road trip of the season Saturday, Feb. 16, when it heads to Ithaca, N.Y. to take on ECAC Hockey and Ivy League rival Cornell. Puck-drop is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
