BOSTON - Following the cancelation of Boston University's Valentine Invitational last weekend due to snow, the BU Fast Meet was created as a replacement event for Thursday afternoon at the school's Track & Tennis Center.

The Dartmouth men's team sent just a small contingent of runners to compete in the abbreviated non-scoring meet.

Leading the way for the Big Green was junior John Bleday, setting a new personal record in the mile with a 4:02.89 to place third overall. The top two finishers each ran sub-four-minute times to edge out Bleday in the event.

Fellow juniors Henry Sterling and Will Geoghegan also set PRs in the mile on Thursday. Sterling ran a 4:07.31, while Geoghegan crossed the line shortly thereafter in 4:08.02.

The rest of the Green will have one more tune-up before next weekend's Heps at Princeton as they will head to Boston on Sunday for the USA Track & Field New England Championship.
