HANOVER, N.H. - After posting a perfect 3-0 mark last week, two members from the Dartmouth women's hockey team earned ECAC Hockey honors.
Senior forward Camille Dumais was tabbed ECAC Hockey Women's Player of the Week, while reigning ECAC Hockey Women's Rookie of the Week, Ailish Forfar, received recognition for the second consecutive week.
It is the second time this season Dumais has been named player of the week and Forfar is just the second freshman to earn the award two straight times.
After tallying a goal against Quinnipiac on Jan. 11, Dumais netted her second hat trick of the season in Dartmouth's 6-2 win against ECAC Hockey foe Princeton the following afternoon. Dumais' three unanswered goals came in a five-minute span during the second period.
Dumais' four-goal weekend vaulted her into the top-five in the conference in goals scored. She now has 12 goals and seven assists during the 2012-13 campaign. Three of her goals have been game-winners, which is tied with Forfar for a team-best.
Forfar continued her mid-season surge, tallying two goals and adding an assist in the Big Green's three victories. Both of Forfar's goals were game-winners and she now leads all freshmen in the league with three.
The first-year player from East Gwillinbury, Ontario, now has five markers and one helper this season. Forfar's points have all come over the last six games as she's settled into the offensive system nicely.
The forwards' and the rest of the Big Green return to action this weekend, Jan. 18-19, when they host ECAC Hockey opponents Union and Rensselaer. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. on Friday against the Dutchwomen and 4 p.m. on Saturday against the Engineers.
