HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth's Cab Morris has once again been named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

Morris, a junior from Wilmette, Ill., earned the honor after a 31-save performance helped the Big Green knock off in-state rival and second-ranked New Hampshire, 4-1, Sunday night in the preliminary round of the 2012 Ledyard Classic at a sold-out Thompson Arena.

The 31 saves were a new career high for Morris, besting his old mark of 30 set in last season's Ledyard Classic against Holy Cross.

This is the second time this season and the third occurrence in the last two years that Morris has been tabbed as the league's top netminder after also taking home the honor on Nov. 14.

Following last season's Ledyard Classic, Morris was named the conference's Goaltender of the Week and Month (December).

Morris turned aside 26 shots in a losing effort to UMass on Monday night in the Ledyard Classic Championship Game to give him 57 saves on the weekend.

This season, Morris boasts a 5-2-1 record to go along with a 1.98 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.

Ben Arnt of Quinnipiac was named the Player of the Week and Brown's Brandon Pfeil was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.

No. 8 Dartmouth returns to action on Friday night in Hamden, Conn., when it takes on ECAC Hockey foe and fifth-ranked Quinnipiac. That game will start at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NESN.
