Women Finish Fall Atop Sailing World's College Rankings
HANOVER, N.H. — Sailing World unveiled its sixth and final college rankings of the fall on Nov. 21 with Dartmouth atop the women’s poll. The Big Green earned 12 of the 15 first-place votes from the coaches to accumulate 216 points, with Boston College second with two first-place votes and 210 points. Dartmouth was also among the top 10 in the co-ed rankings in ninth place.
The women won four regattas this fall, including the Atlantic Coast Championship (ACC) on Nov. 10-11, to earn the ranking. Sophomore Deirdre Lambert and junior Carissa Crawford led the Big Green to a first-place finish in the A Division at the ACC, combining for 51 points to edge out runner-up St. Mary’s College (Md.). In the B Division, seniors Chandler Salisbury and Madilyn Gamble sailed into second place, just behind Boston College.
