HANOVER, N.H. - The ECAC Hockey league office announced Tuesday that Dartmouth forwards Tyler Sikura and Nick Bligh are the recipients of two conference accolades voted on by team representatives from all 12 institutions.

Sikura has been named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Month for November, while Bligh was tabbed as the conference's Rookie of the Week.

Sikura, a sophomore from Aurora, Ontario, earned the monthly recognition after his 10 points (4g/6a) in six league games were the best figure by any one player. He registered three multi-point efforts in the first full month of the season, including a career-high four-point night (2g/2a) vs. Yale on Nov. 2.

The first-line center proved to be an offensive threat in numerous situations, registering shorthanded goals against the Elis and RPI (Nov. 9). No other player has more than one shorthanded point against ECAC Hockey competition thus far in 2012-13.

For the season, Sikura has registered at least one point in all but one of the team's 10 games (6g/9a). His six helpers in league games are tied for first, while his four goals are tied for third.

Quinnipiac's Eric Hartzell was named the Goaltender of the Month, while Jimmy Vesey of Harvard was voted the league's Rookie of the Month.

On the weekly award front, Bligh made his home debut in the Big Green's 5-2 victory Saturday against non-conference Bentley, registering his first two career points on assists.

After missing five games, including the team's four-game homestand in November, Bligh returned to the ice against Cornell on Nov. 17 in Ithaca. However, it wasn't until this past weekend that the first-year forward and Milton, Mass., native made his first appearance on the scoresheet.

Assisting on classmate Brad Schierhorn's first-period goal, Bligh picked up his first collegiate point. While playing on one of the team's power-play units late in the third, he picked up his second helper of the night, setting up sophomore Brandon McNally with Dartmouth's fifth and final tally.

Eric Neiley was the last Big Green player to be named the league's top weekly rookie, doing so on Jan. 24, 2012 after a four-point road weekend at Cornell and Colgate.

Joining Bligh on the weekly honor roll are Cornell's John Esposito as the Player of the Week with Hartzell as the Goaltender of the Week in addition to his monthly honor.
