WILLISTON, Vt. - For the second week in a row, the Dartmouth equestrian team enjoyed a successful show, this time at the University of Vermont's Imajica Farm on Sunday.

The Big Green posted an impressive second-place finish in a field of 11 teams as they scored 42 points on the day. The total was just back of in-state rival New Hampshire's 44-point performance to take the top spot, while Endicott's 28 points earned third.

Leading Dartmouth, and all teams for that matter, was sophomore Alexa Dixon. Dixon was named the Overall High Point Rider of the show, claiming first ahead of the 119 others competing on Sunday. Her accolade was the result of her first-place showing in both Intermediate Fences and Intermediate Flat.

However, it wasn't just Dixon that propelled the Big Green up in the standings. Senior Helena Witte was the Reserve High Point Rider (2nd of 120), taking first in Novice Fences and Novice Flat.

Sophomores Tasha Bock and Phoebe Reid also earned first-place finishes in Advanced and Beginner Walk Trot Canter, respectively, while senior Courtnie Crutchfield took the top spot in Walk Trot.

Freshmen Jessie Menville (Novice Fences), Emily Tregidgo (Open Flat) and Emma Waugh (Novice Flat) all claimed second place in their respective events as well.

Tregidgo was also third in the Open Fences.

The Green and White are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 27 when it hosts the Dartmouth Invitational at the Dartmouth Riding Center at Morton Farm.
