HANOVER, N.H. - On Sunday afternoon the Dartmouth men's cross country team will look to get over the hump and take the top spot at the 2012 New England Championship.
The meet, held this year at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass., will see the Big Green take to the 8K course for the men's varsity race scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m.
A year ago, Dartmouth came up just short at this meet, taking second place with 192 points, behind UConn and ahead of Boston University. The 2011 race was held at Boston's Franklin Park, but made the move to Western Massachusetts this fall.
The Big Green's finish set up the team for a strong stretch run as the closest Ivy League opponent to them in the standings was Brown 13 spots back in 15th.
