The Dartmouth women's crew team closes out the regular season with its lone home race of the season against Cornell and guest Alabama on Saturday (April 28). The Dartmouth and Cornell crews will be racing for the Parent Cup in the final Cup race of the season.

Raceday Spectator Information
-All spectators must use the shuttle bus from parking as described below. NO dogs allowed on the shuttle bus, sorry.
-Spectators must park at the Garipay Rugby Fields parking lot. A shuttle bus will take them to the finish line area on the river's edge below the Chieftain Motor Lodge. There is NO parking at the Chieftain for spectators. The motel kindly allows us access to the river so long as we park elsewhere, please relay this to your supporters. The walk from the shuttle drop off to the river is down a steep hill on a dirt road.
-The Garipay Fields are off of Route 10 just north of Hanover. Take the first right off of the first traffic circle, then the next right into the parking area. Landmarks include: golf course on the left, driving range on the right, a CO-OP grocery store on the far right corner of the traffic circle.
Big Green Tidbits
Parent Cup Race on Tap - The Big Green will battle Cornell for the Parent Cup on the Connecticut River this weekend. The Big Green is looking for its second Cup win of the season after claiming the Class of 1985 Cup. Dartmouth is looking to reclaim the Parent Cup after winning it five consecutive times prior to last season.
Cornell Connection - Dartmouth head coach Wendy Levash knows a thing or two about Cornell. Levash spent three years as the novice coach of the Big Red. In her final season in Ithaca , she was named EAWRC Novice Coach of the Year after leading her crew to an undefeated season and a gold medal at Eastern Sprints.
Cornell Times Two - The women aren't the only Big Green squad racing Cornell this weekend. The men's lightweight squad will also host the Big Red on the Connecticut River on Saturday.
Alabama Heads to Hanover - The Alabama Crimson Tide will be making a guest appearance at the Parent Cup race this weekend. Alabama is making its first appearance in Hanover and on the Connecticut River.
Dartmouth Drops Class of 1984 Cup - The Big Green lost its battle for the Class of 1984 Cup last weekend against Princeton and Penn. Dartmouth, who was looking to claim the Cup for the first time since 1986, finished second to Princeton in the varsity eight race.
The Class of 1985 Cup is Back in Hanover - In its first Cup race of the 2012 season, Dartmouth claimed victory in the Class of 1985 Cup, its first win in the race since 1998. The race wasn't without drama, as the race had to be decided by video evidence. The times were declared a dead heat but the race was awarded to Dartmouth on an official's review of the video evidence.
CMax Rankings Released - This week's CMax rankings were released and the Dartmouth first varsity eight is ranked among the fastest boats in the country. The Big Green is ranked No. 15 and is 15.0 seconds behind the nation's top boat from Michigan. The CMax rankings are used to provide a relative estimate of how fast a team is.
Ivy League Women's Poll Released - The first Ivy League women's poll was released on Tuesday (April 24). Dartmouth's first varsity eight checks in at No. 7 while the second varsity eight check in at No. 8. In the four's the first varsity four is also ranked No. 6 and the second varsity four rounds out the Dartmouth boats at No. 7.
Dartmouth In the Rankings - The Big Green are at No. 20 in this week's CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll. The Big Green opened the season at No. 17 in the initial poll released on March 15. Princeton leads the Ivy League contingent at No. 7. Brown (No. 10), Yale(No. 11), Radcliffe (No. 14), Cornell (No. 17) and Columbia (No. 18) round out the Ivy League boats.

Dartmouth Opens Season Ranked No. 17 in CRCA/US Rowing Poll - The Big Green, fresh off an appearance at the 2011 NCAA Championships, earned a No. 17 ranking in the initial poll on March 15. The Big Green is one of six Ivy League schools ranked in the preseason poll. Princeton checked in at No. 3 to lead all Ivy League schools while Brown is at No. 4. Yale enters at No. 7, Radcliffe is No. 12 and Cornell is No. 15. Penn and Columbia also received votes.
Dartmouth Hosts Cornell - Dartmouth crew fans will be able to see the Big Green at home on Saturday April 28 when they host Cornell in the final regatta of the season before heading to the Ivy League Championship.
