AMHERST, MASS. — The Dartmouth men's squash team had four players compete on day one of the CSA Individual Championships on Friday.

The Big Green had two players compete in the Pool Division in junior Chris Hanson (Greenwich, Conn.) and senior Nick Sisodia (Chicago, Ill.) In his first match of the day, Hanson had a 2-0 lead on Samuel Kang of Princeton after winning the first two games, 11-9, 11-5. Kang won the third game, 13-11, to get on the board, and then won the fourth, 11-6, and the fifth, 11-4, to win the match, 3-2. In the consolation round, Hanson did not finish his match and Thomas Mattsson of Penn earned the default victory to knock Hanson out of the tournament.

Sisodia lost in his opening match to Tyler Osborne of Princeton in three games, 11-3, 11-7, 11-5. In the first round consolation bracket, Sisodia moved on to the quarters by defeating Mauricio Sedano of Franklin and Marshall, 11-8, 11-6, 9-11, 11-9. Sisodia plays on Saturday at 1:20 p.m.

In the Molloy Division, senior Luke Lee (Seoul, Korea) had a bye in the round of 64 and then faced Brad Thompson of Brown. Lee won the first two games, 11-9, 11-7, to take a 2-0 lead. Thompson came back to win the third, 12-10, but Lee finished off the match with an 11-9 win in the fourth. Lee faces Blake Reinson of Brown on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Junior Robbie Maycock (Devonshire, Bermuda) had a bye in the opening round, and then faced Matthew Mackin of Trinity in the round of 32. Mackin came out on top, 11-7, 9-11, 11-8, 12-10, to knock Maycock into the second round consolation bracket. Maycock will face Valentin Quan of Middlebury at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday.
