Bridge is the newest member of the staff, starting his first year in Hanover after spending last season as an assistant at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. As the recruiting coordinator for the Bantams, Bridge played a critical role in securing commitments from 10 student-athletes. On the court, he helped Trinity to a 14-12 record while advancing to the NESCAC semifinals.
Before his time at Trinity, he worked 40 miles down the road at the University of New Haven in the Northeast-10 Conference for one season. In 2008-09, Bridge was an assistant at American International, recruiting across New England as well as New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City.
A member of the basketball team as a freshman at Springfield College, Bridge graduated in 2005 with a degree in psychology. He began his coaching career at Rutgers-Newark University for one year, then was hired as the Director of Basketball Operations at Long Island University for two years. While at LIU, Bridge worked on his master’s degree in social science, which he completed in 2009.
At both New Haven and Trinity, Bridge served as the top assistant with a hand in all aspects of the programs, including recruiting, breaking down film and organizing practices. He even had the coaching bug while still an undergrad, serving as a volunteer assistant at Wilbraham and Monson Academy during his sophomore year, then was hired by the school for his last two years.
