Sophomore (Topsfield, Mass.) Sophomore, Cross CountryAbbey D'Agostino (Topsfield, Mass.) earns her second Female Athlete of the Week award this year after running to a second-place finish at the Pre-National invitational this past weekend in Terre Haute, Ind. In the annual meet held on the same course as the NCAA Championships in November, the second-year member of the Big Green placed second in a field of more than 300 runners from teams all over the nation. D'Agostino's 20:23 on the 6K championship course helped Dartmouth to a seventh-place team finish against some of the country's toughest competition. The sophomore harrier previously earned this award two weeks ago after a strong showing at the Paul Short Invitational.
Kevin Dzierzawski has emerged as one of Dartmouth's top midfielders this season. The Oakland Township, Mich., native has started each game for the Big Green this season and has picked up eight points in Dartmouth's last five games. Dzierzawski posted back-to-back game-winning goals against UMass and Princeton and added double assists in Dartmouth's win over rival, Vermont. In Dartmouth's last four games, Dzierzawski has tallied at least one point. The junior leads the Big Green in assists with five on the season and ranks second in nearly all of Dartmouth's offensive categories including points (9), shots (17) and goals (2).
