I chose Dartmouth because of its traditions, easy-going but bright students, and beautiful location.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
Before coming to Dartmouth, I rowed for one season at Long Beach, Calif.. It's an interesting and long story how I ended up rowing at Dartmouth, but the short of it is that a bartender at my friend's dad's party told me about crew and that it's the most challenging but most fulfilling sport. Based on this, I went to a 2 week summer rowing camp, decided I liked it, and started rowing after football season instead of playing baseball.
Have you won and academic or rowing awards recently?
I earned the "yellow trou" at Long Beach for having the best 2k, as well as the most inspirational award.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I was captain of the football team, and played quarterback until I broke my wrist. Also, my next door neighbor was one of the gunmen in the North Hollywood Bank Robbery/Shootings.
What are your future plans, if any.
Right now, I hope to either become a mutual fund manager or work with my hands in some capacity.
