Dartmouth women's rowing will head to Camden, New Jersey, for the 2017 Ivy League Women's Rowing Championship on Sunday. The Big Green will look to improve on their sixth-place finish at last year's event.

The Ivy League champion is determined by the fastest boat in the first varsity eight grand final. The winner earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship giving the team's varsity eight, second varsity and varsity four boats automatic entry as well. The NCAA provides 11 automatic and 11 at-large bids.

Last season, after a change of venue and a handful of time changes due to bad weather, Dartmouth placed sixth with 28 points, moving up one spot from the year before. The Big Green finished ahead of Columbia and Cornell, while Princeton won the title for the fourth time in six years. All six of Dartmouth's crews advanced to the Petite Finals.

At the end of the day, two awards will be given out: one to the Ivy champion and the other to the team with the most points. The league determines the winner of the high point trophy through a points system that weighs each of the day's races.

Heats will begin at 8 a.m. and finals will follow at 12 p.m.
