INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.  –  Jacqueline Crawford and Taylor Ng of the Dartmouth women’s tennis team reached the doubles final of the ITA/USTA National Summer Championships, which were held at the University of Indiana from August 9-12.

Their performance earned them a wildcard into the qualifying draw of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championship, which will be played at the Riviera Club in Los Angeles, California starting on September 27. Ng will also be playing in the singles draw.

After receiving a first round bye, Crawford and Ng defeated Aimee Tarun and Morven McCulloch of the University of Iowa 8-5. In the quarterfinals, the Big Green pair defeated Danielle Wolf and Terri Fleming, an incoming UCLA freshman, by a score of 8-6. In the semifinals, they downed Alexis Casati and Jerricka Boone of the University of Illinois, 8-5, and in the final, the rising sophomores were stopped by Madison Westby and Zoe Katz of the University of Southern California, 8-2.

In singles, Crawford reached the quarterfinals before losing to Astra Sharma of #11 Vanderbilt, 6-2, 6-4. Earlier she defeated Melinda Johnson of Kansas 6-1, 6-1, Tess Herder of Drake 7-6, 6-3, and Marika Cusick of Cornell 6-2, 4-6, 10-4.

Ng reached the round of 16 before losing 7-6 (8), 6-2 to the 9th-seeded Fleming, who is nationally ranked #9 in the girls' 18s. Earlier in the tournament, Ng defeated Kelsey Coots of the University of Chattanooga 6-1, 6-1 and Danielle Wolf, 6-0, 6-2.
