NEW ORLEANS – The Dartmouth men were one of 116 Division I programs from across the nation to earn a spot on the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team list.
The Big Green men qualified for the honor after posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.22 over the course of the indoor and outdoor seasons. To earn a spot on the list, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher during the track campaigns.
In addition to the team honor, recent graduate John Bleday ’14 was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual after finishing his collegiate career with a 3.51 GPA and earning a degree from Dartmouth in Economics.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org
- For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
