HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 8 Dartmouth women’s squash team was shutout by No. 2 Trinity, 9-0, on Wednesday evening at the Kellner Center.

The loss drops the Big Green to 1-4 on the young season, while the Bantams improve to 5-0.

Tori Dewey was the lone member of the team to take a game in her match at the No. 8 spot. The sophomore dropped a five-set thriller to Chanel Erasmus. Dewey got off to a quick start, taking the first two games before Erasmus rallied to win the next three and escape with the triumph.

Sarah Caughey lost a competitive match at No. 9 to Alexis Echeverria. The match was much tighter than the 3-0 score indicates as Caughey scored nine points in the first game, six in the second and eight in the third.

The Big Green women return to action on Jan. 25, traveling back to Connecticut to square off with Stanford and Bates in non-conference action on Yale’s campus.
