HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women’s volleyball incoming Class of 2017 was recently ranked in the top 100 by PrepVolleyball.com. The premier prep-site listed the Big Green as one of 44 institutions from across the nation to receive a spot on the “High Honorable Mention” list.
PrepVolleyball.com recognizes a top-30 list and follows up with 25 institutions named to the “Highest Honorable Mention” list. Forty-four programs are then awarded High Honorable Mention.
Dartmouth is one of five Ivy League squads to receive the recognition. Brown, Harvard, Princeton and Yale joined the Big Green in the same category.
The 2013 recruiting class features opposite hitter Emily Astarita, libero Julia Lau, middle blocker Lottie MacAulay, Stacey Benton in addition to outside hitters Danielle Glinka, Molly Kornfeind and Emily Patrick.
The recruits tout impressive accolades earning all-state and all-county honors in seven different states.
In two seasons under head coach Erin Lindsey, Dartmouth has an overall record of 18-31 and a conference record of 9-19. Lindsey’s young crop of players became the first class in Big Green history to earn the designation from PrepVolleyball.
The Big Green open the season in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., squaring off against Marist and Hartford on Sept. 6 and 7.
