NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Dartmouth extended its wining streak to eight straight with a twinbill sweep of Yale on Sunday. (April 21). The Big Green took a 5-0 win in the first game and concluded the weekend with a 8-0, five-inning game in the late game.

Game One: Rumley Keys Dartmouth to Shutout (Dartmouth 5, Yale 0)

Kristen Rumley (Katy, Texas) keyed the Big Green to a shutout pitching a complete game. The southpaw allowed no runs on two hits while throwing five strikeouts.

Katie McEachern (San Diego, Calif.) piled on four RBIs on one hit for the team. She added a home run in the fifth inning.  The Big Green tallied four runs in the fourth-inning and cruised to the victory.

Rumley got things going with a single to second base. Kathy Dzienkowski (Austin, Texas) followed with a single to the shortstop, which moved Rumley.

The bases were loaded with a Hillary Hubert (Grant Park, Ill.) walk before McEachern nailed a bases loaded home run to centerfield to open up the game.

Game Two: Big First Inning Leads to Sweep of Yale (Dartmouth 8, Yale 0)

The Big Green erupted for five runs in the first inning en route to an 8-0 win in the series finale against Yale.

Katie McEachern (San Diego, Calif.) racked up two RBIs on one hit to lead the Big Green. She nailed a home run, her nineth of the season in the fifth inning. McEachern's nine home runs set a new Big Green single-season record. The previous record was seven home runs, set both in 2010 and 2004.

Kristen Rumley (Katy, Texas) went the distance for the Big Green. In the shutout victory she fanned five batters and surrendered just two hits.

Rumley and Morgan McCalmon (Norman, Okla.) both went 2-of-3 from the plate with a run scored, while McEachern rounded the bases twice for the Big Green.

The fifth inning game was the second consecutive weekend, Dartmouth had at least one game shortened.
