PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Saturday saw the Dartmouth women’s track & field team head down to the Brown Invitational for a non-scoring meet at Brown Stadium.
Junior Megan Krumpoch was the Big Green’s big winner on this day, taking first in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.19.
Molly Shapiro and Lauren Ready were second in each of their respective events with Shapiro taking the runner-up spot in the triple jump (36-3.50/11.06m) and Ready in the long jump (17-4.25/5.29m).
Arianna Vailas was second in a tightly-contest 800m race, finishing in 2:11.70. Meggie Donovan was fourth in the event, crossing in 2:13.58.
Freshman Jennifer Meech was Dartmouth’s top runner in both the 400m (56.66) and 200m (25.57), claiming third place in each event.
Janae Dunchack tied for second in the high jump clearing 5-5.0/1.65m, while Kaitlin McCallum was third in the pole vault with a height of 10-11.75/3.35m.
In the finals of the 100m, Kaitlin Whitehorn took third with a 12.36, finishing just ahead of teammate Sara Kikut in fourth as she ran a 12.42.
The 4x100-meter relay team was third, crossing the line in 47.98.
Dartmouth is back in action next weekend with three events at Mt. Sac in California, the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton and the Middlebury Invite. All three meets are between Thursday and Saturday.
