HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth women's hockey team stretched its winning streak to five on Friday evening as they skated past Union, 3-0, in ECAC Hockey action at Thompson Arena.

The Big Green used a trio of first-period goals to defeat the Dutchwomen for the 20th straight time. With the victory, the Green and White improved to 12-5-2 overall and 7-4-1 in conference play, while Union fell to 7-13-3 and 0-8-3 in league contests.

The team from the Upper Valley got off to a slow start over the first 10 minutes, but took advantage of a Union penalty as senior co-captain Reagan Fischer opened the scoring 14 minutes into action. Dartmouth worked the puck nicely back to the Irma, Alberta, native at the point as she fired a shot past Union netminder Shenae Lundberg.

Just under two minutes later, Fischer was back at it again tallying her 12th goal of the season to give the Big Green the 2-0 lead. The first-line forward registered her third multi-goal game of the season, while leading the squad to their fourth consecutive conference win.

Co-captain Jenna Hobeika capped the scoring for the period and the game with 2:59 remaining in the first. Hobeika and Camille Dumais came in on a 2-on-1 break and the senior from Alpine, N.J., got her sixth marker of the season beating Lundberg on the short side.

Dumais, the reigning ECAC Hockey Women's Player of the Week, had a hand in each of the goals as she tied a career-best with three assists.

Dartmouth's top line continued their dominant play as they tallied all three of the team's goals. The line of Hobeika, Fischer and Dumais have now scored 10-of the last-14 Dartmouth goals.

Once again, the penalty-killing unit performed well for head coach Mark Hudak forcing Union to go 0-for-6 with the man advantage.

Junior goaltender Lindsay Holdcroft picked up her 11th win of the season as she stopped 16 shots, while shutting out the Dutchwomen for the second time this season.

Dartmouth wraps up a weekend home stand of ECAC Hockey action Saturday, Jan. 19, when they welcome in Rensselaer. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m.
